   Our Programs are geared towards Scouts of All Ages

COUT TOURS

This 90 minute , after-school program will give your group a good introduction to harness racing and horses.  Scouts will participate in a tour of the museum, a horse related game, a scouting scavenger hunt, a chance to see real harness horses training at Goshen Historic Track and 
 take a ride on the World’s Only 3-D Harness Racing Simulator!  This program is fun on its own and can also serve as a wonderful introduction to the more intensive Standardbred Patch and Badge Programs (see below)

Cost is $4 per scout  and scout leaders are free

SCOUT PATCH/BADGE PROGRAM
(Girl Scout Levels:  Daisy, Brownie and Junior;  All Cub Scouts)

This program is individually tailored to your groups level and is a more intensive tour /participation session.  Each scout will receive a scout packet and pencil which will be used throughout the tour to complete different activities such as:  Breeds, Colors and Care of the horse, the difference between the trotting gait and the pacing gait, how to build an ideal stable and the equipment used in harness racing with a chance to it on a real sulky.  All Patch programs include a project session where they will make their own horse related craft to take home.  At the successful completion of the program all scouts will get take a ride on our 3-D Harness Racing Simulator and receive a special Standardbred Horse Patch which they may sew onto their uniforms.

Cost is $8 per scout with leaders admitted free
