Biography: 

Murray Howe wrote for The Horse Review for several years, reporting race meetings. He also transcribed his own personal department of news and gossip under the title "A Tramp's Observations." Howe also developed a special column devoted to training, shoeing and balancing methods and other problems, which became one of the outstanding features of the magazine. He also wrote the very popular "Stable Conversations." He later served as race secretary at Billings Park in Memphis, Tennessee, a position he held for a half-dozen years. Murray Howe died in 1941.
